There are so many cats whether purebred or mixed
breeds that are in need of loving homes, kind hearts and gentle
hands. They did not ask to be here and it is not fair to make
them suffer when we can help them live with the pride and dignity they
deserve. Maybe you already have your house pleasantly full with
four-footed friends and do not want to disrupt the serenity in your
home. There are several other parts to rescue that do not
include adopting a kitty where you may be able to help.
FOSTER HOMES NEEDED
Your bathroom occupied by a rescue for two weeks may
mean the difference of life or death for a cat in need. Foster
homes throughout the USA are essential to have a successful
rescue. When we are notified about a rescue, we immediately
focus on making sure the cat is in a safe environment and out of
danger of being euthanized or abused. Safe, temporary homes for
the rescue until a forever home is found are essential. Call and
offer your home today. Even if it can only be for a few days or
a week, it may make the difference in the life or death of one of
these cats.
TRANSPORT VOLUNTEERS
A few hours of your time and a couple of dollars in
gas can help transport a kitty to its new forever home. Although
we try to place a cat as close to his current living as possible, many
times we find the perfect home for one of our rescues that requires
traveling arrangements. Sometimes it is only an hour or two and
other times it is five states away. As long as we know the cat
is healthy enough to make the trip, both mentally and physically, we
feel the best home is worth the little extra stress for him and effort
for us. Call and ask to be put on the volunteer list. You
could be the missing link for getting the next rescue to its forever
home.
